About Me
Working on behalf and in support of my clients is deeply rewarding. My way of working is based first on a client feeling very safe, cared for, and understood, as well as confident about me and what our work together can accomplish.
I am a Level III trained AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) therapist. AEDP is a model of therapy that brings about healing and transformation through a deeper and new experiencing of emotions in the presence of an attuned therapist. Your emotions, somatic experiences in your body and thinking brains will be online when we work. I have training and experience in grief counseling, and trauma. I am a Level 2 PACT couples therapist (Stan Tatkin's psychobiological approach for couples' therapy), and have completed Hakomi Couples' Training. Additionally, I completed Level 1 of Somatica, a training for sex and relationship coaching.
My past professional experiences includes working in finance, community development, international development and being a stay at home mom for 10 years. My life experiences include growing up overseas, being raised in a multicultural and multiracial family, long-term marriage, divorce and raising four sons, including one with Down Syndrome.
